Back in the day, when pictures started moving, silent movies were often accompanied by musicians. These screening haven't lost their magic till this day ....
... To enjoy these historical classics in an extraordinary ambiance, we offer projectors that match the needs of silent films. Besides the capability of displaying all picture formats and film speeds, these projectors stand out due to their integration into a synchronization and controlling system. Adequate screens in various sizes and styles are also part of our offer:
- Up to 8x6m: STUMPFL VARIO 64 system (Screens are stretched over an aluminium frame and attached through plug-in buttons. They are free-standing and easy to use.)
- Opera screens up to 20m x 14.5m; Screens can be stretched over frames or line sets. Front projection (matt white) and rear projection (milky matt, grey matt)
We offer a noise reducing projection cabin in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 (flame-resistant), in case the projector has to be positioned in the same room as the audience. A special screen broadcasting the silent movie allows the director of the orchestra to concentrate on the score because music for silent films depends substantially on the synchronicity of picture and sound. Often the percussionist receives another screen so the bang actually matches the shot.
